Chamber Hosts its First Member Meetup of 2023

On Tuesday, February 28, the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce hosted “Southern Comfort", its first Member Meetup of 2023. The event, hosted at Sally’s Southern on Forest Avenue, was sponsored by National Grid.

More than sixty members of the small business community joined the Chamber for the first of the Chamber’s quarterly mixers, which offer businesses networking and marketing opportunities. Attendees enjoyed Sally’s Southern’s hors d’oeuvres, fresh sangrias, and atmosphere, as well as live music by Chamber Marketing & Communications Manager Dom Provenzano and Nicole Provenzano.

Linda Baran, the Chamber’s President and CEO, welcomed guests and introduced Susan Anderson, Executive Director of Marketing & Public Relations of Bread & Butter Hospitality, the restaurant’s parent company. Anderson provided an overview of Sally’s as well as the other venues in the group’s portfolio.

All of New York City’s Chambers of Commerce were represented as well, with members of each of the Chambers’ Small Business Resource Network (SBRN) teams present following a day of community outreach.
