NYC Business Express assists people in identifiyng and applying to city, state and federal permits, certifications, licenses and incentives that apply to your business.

 

The Small Business Development Center at the College of Staten Island has been delivering high-quality business counseling and training to Staten Islanders who want to start a business or improve the performance of an existing business, free of charge.

 

NYC Business Solutions is a set of free services offered by the Department of Small Business Services to help businesses start, operate and expand in New York City. Whether you’re an entrepreneur, running a small business or a large corporation, NYC Business Solutions can work for you – for free.

SCORE “For the Life of Your Business” is a nationwide nonprofit association dedicated to fostering vibrant small business communities through mentoring and education. Its services are generally free.

 

The Staten Island Business Outreach Center (SIBOC) is a not-for-profit organization serving the community of Staten Island since 1980 and providing small business development programs and technical assistance. The mission of SIBOC is to provide technical assistance to business owners, managers, and entrepreneurs to ensure their individual growth thereby providing sustainable economic growth on Staten Island.

 

The Staten Island Economic Development Corporation (SIEDC) has served as a major advocate for economic development on Staten Island. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, SIEDC’s mission is to enhance Staten Island’s economy by promoting public and private investment, and encouraging responsible and sustainable development

The West Brighton Community Local Development Corporation (WBCLDC), serving the Staten Island Business Community since 1981, offers programming to assist new entrepreneurs and existing businesses. Our one-on-one business counseling and seminars on timely business topics are available to all Staten Islanders.

 

The Commercial Expansion Program (CEP) is designed to increase tenant occupancy in commercial offices and industrial/manufacturing spaces. CEP provides property tax benefits for qualified new, renewal, and expansion leases in commercial offices and industrial/manufacturing spaces built before Jan. 1, 1999.

 

The Energy Cost Savings Program (ECSP) can reduce the regulated energy costs of East Shore businesses by up to 45 percent and their regulated natural gas costs by up to 35 percent.

 

The Metropolitan Economic Revitalization Fund (MERF) provides loans to businesses or governments investing in projects that retain or create a significant number of private sector jobs in certain areas of New York, including the East Shore of Staten Island.

 

The Relocation and Employment Assistance Program (REAP) offers business income tax credits for relocating jobs to designated locations above 96th Street in Manhattan or in one of the other four boroughs.
