A Note from Staten Island

Borough President Vito Fossella

It is our pleasure to support the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce in their mission to promote our vibrant and thriving small business community, a backbone of our borough.

This year’s theme, The Faces of Staten Island: The People Behind the Places You Love, gets at the heart of what makes Staten Island the incredible place it is - the people. Whether a generational Staten Islander or a new arrival, those who call our borough home carry at their core a love for our home and our neighbors. We look out for each other, lift each other up, and together strive to make our Island even greater.

While there are thousands of wonderful people who make up our borough, there are those who dedicate their entire lives to going above and beyond as champions of good causes, longtime honest business owners, and patrons of our vibrant local culture. These are the people who form the bedrock of our borough, facilitating the ties that bind us together.

I offer my sincere thanks to the members of the Chamber of Commerce for all their contributions making Staten Island such a great place to be. And, as always, my best wishes for the continued success of the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce and the thriving small business community.
