Chamber President Comments on Gov. Hochul’s A8662A Veto

DECEMBER 20, 2025 (Staten Island, NY) – In response to Governor Hochul’s veto of A8662A/S8432, the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce released the following statement today on behalf of President Linda Baran:

“The Staten Island Chamber of Commerce thanks Governor Hochul for protecting the interests of small business owners across New York State by vetoing the LLC Transparency Act. The Governor helped thousands of local businesses by blocking imposition of the overly broad and punitive regulatory framework. Business owners need support to thrive in today’s economy, not yet another layer of regulation. The SICC looks forward to further partnership with Governor Hochul to develop solutions to foster economic growth and community vitality.
