Chamber President and CEO Visits Albany for Advocacy Trip

On January 20, Chamber President Linda Baran traveled to Albany alongside Regina Poreda Ryan, SVP at CMW Strategies, LLC, to advocate for Staten Island’s business community.

The visit included The Business Council Legislative Reception, where Governor Kathy Hochul was a featured speaker, as well as meetings that covered the Governor’s State Budget released during the visit.

Meetings were held with Senator Jessica Scarcella-SpantonSenator Andrew LanzaAssemblymember Charles FallAssemblymember Michael Reilly, and Assemblymember Michael Tannousis, and included conversations with Senator April Baskin and Assemblymember Al Stirpe, chairs of the Senate and Assembly Economic Development and Small Business Committees.

These discussions advanced the Chamber’s 2026 Legislative and Policy Agenda and reinforced our commitment to advocating for Staten Island small businesses.
