Silver Lake Golf Course

Despite blazing heat, golfers, diners, and friends alike came out in strong support of the Chamber at the 25th annual Richard B. Irwin Memorial Golf Outing. The outing featured fabulous raffle prizes, and contest including a "beat the pro" challenge for a chance to win a 50" TV courtesy of A Call Away Foot Care (with golf pro Leo Tabick, PGA), and a putting contest that put golfers to the test for a chance to win a suite for 20 plus food at a SI Yankees game courtesy of P.A.C. Plumbing. An additional suite, courtesy of Richmond County Savings Bank was raffled off at a live auction during dinner.
Silver Lake Golf Course provided a beautiful backdrop for good food, good laughs, and some friendly rounds of golf. Overall, in spite of temperatures in excess of 95 degrees, golfers showed incredible spirit and determination throughout the day, and demonstrated that Chamber support is strong and growing.
ween burgers and dogs, chicken and beer, players mingled and networked before heading out onto the course for a scramble format round. Along the way, they were treated to beverages from Killmeyer's Old Bavaria Inn, snacks from The Cavity Shoppe and A Taste of Honey, and a hole-in-one challenge featuring a brand new, 2011 Mercedes Benz from Ray Catena Auto Group.
While no golfer was fortunate enough to drive away in the shiny new car, attendees were treated to dinner and live music (courtesy of Castellano's House of Music) while raffle prizes were drawn.
The day was a great success thanks to the hard work of committee chairs Gail Castellano, Richmond County Savings Bank, a division of New York Community Bank; Kenny Schneider, P.A.C. Plumbing and Jeff Tieger, Business Advantage Group, along with their entire committee..

Special thanks to our Eagle Sponsors Con Edison, National Grid, Northfield Bank, Richmond County Savings Bank, SI Bank & TrustTime Warner Cable and United NY Sandy Hook Pilots!  And to the Chamber's 3 business guilds for generously sponsoring the beverage cart which kept our golfers hydrated!
Congratulations to the day’s winners!
