STATEN ISLAND, NY – The Staten Island Chamber of Commerce will host its 2018 Small Business Outlook Breakfast and Board Installation on Thursday, Jan. 18 at The Historic Old Bermuda Inn, located at 301 Veterans Road West, Staten Island, NY. The Small Business Outlook Breakfast is sponsored by Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network, Richmond Wealth Management. The Chamber hosts this annual program to provide Staten Island business owners with an expert perspective of the economy. 

The 2018 breakfast will feature keynote speaker Kevin Moriarty of Wells Fargo Advisors, Senior Vice President, Regional Advice Officer – Advice and Market Strategy. The Advice and Market Strategy team uses the entire suite of research available at Wells Fargo Advisors to help pinpoint potential investment solutions for financial advisors and their clients or prospects. Moriarty is responsible for driving the awareness of the firms’ advice capabilities and solutions to help financial advisors effectively scale and integrate the advice resources into their practice. In partnership with regional and area productivity managers, Moriarty works with both field leaders and financial advisors to support their efforts to meet the advice needs of Wells Fargo clients. Moriarty joined Wells Fargo Advisors in October 2014 as the first Regional Advice Officer. Prior to Wells Fargo Advisors, he spent 24 years at UBS Wealth Management, where he held several leadership positions in the field and home office. Moriarty received his BA in Economics from Yale University and holds Series 7, 63, 65 and 24 registrations.  

In addition to the keynote speaker, the Chamber’s Executive Board of Directors, the Board of Directors and the Foundation Board of Directors for 2018 will be sworn into office in the presence of the organization’s most active and influential members. Richmond County Civil Court Judge, The Honorable Robert J. Gigante, Surrogate Richmond County, will conduct the oath of office. 

The Executive Board, headed by Glen Cutrona, A.I.A. of Cutrona Architecture PLLC., will continue the 123-year mission of protecting and representing the business community on Staten Island. Cutrona’s firm is a long-term member with the Chamber and he is active on the Board of Directors. He has co-chaired the Chamber’s Gala, the Building Awards program, the Louis R. Miller Business Leadership Awards, and has served on many committees including Quality of Life.

Founded in 1895, the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce is the largest and most respected business organization on Staten Island. The Chamber is comprised of over 700 businesses representing over 20,000 employees from across the tri-state area. Most of its members are small businesses, 80 percent of which have less than 10 employees. In addition to its circle of 700-plus members, the Chamber has affiliations on local, state, and federal levels.
