Seminar Dec. 9 to Highlight Latest Tax Changes

SCORE Staten Island’s  free workshop is geared for tax professionals and public alike

A free seminar Dec. 9 on Staten Island will provide insight into some of this year’s latest significant tax changes, as well as federal hurricane disaster tax relief; the tax reform plan, and New York state residency audit issues.

Sponsored by Richmond County Savings Bank, a Division of New York Community Bank – Member FDIC, the “Highlights of 2017 Federal & NY State Tax Seminar” is a SCORE Staten Island event, presented in collaboration with the Foundation for Accounting Education (FAE) and the Staten Island Chapter of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA).

Geared to address an audience comprised of accountants; agents; certified public accountants (CPAs); small business owners, and the general public, the seminar’s featured speakers will include Doreen M. Inserra, CPA, P.C., and Brian Gordon, CPA, director of state and local tax, Gettry Marcus CPA, P.C.

Three Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits for Tax are available for qualifying attendees.

The free seminar will be held Saturday, Dec. 9, 8:30 a.m. to noon, at the Hampton Inn, 1120 South Ave., in the Staten Island community of Bloomfield.
