ABOUT:         When George Siller, was ready to shut the doors to Victory Sports, one of the borough's "go to" locations for everything sports and customization since 1966, The Perone Family came in to carry on the Victory Sports legacy. With a mix of the past and an eye of the future, the Victory Sports Group has a lot of fun, trendy, and unique ideas and promotions ready to please all Island Residences.


On Saturday November 11th, famed Victory Sports which has been a staple on Staten Island for decades, and will re-open there doors with a Grand Re-Opening Celebration, featuring a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony with the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce, along with new neighbors “How Greek it Is!”, and “Salon Gioa” who have also invested in the resurgence of the Castleton business area. 


In addition to the re-opening they will host their first Veteran’s Day Appreciation, where all Veterans who come into Victory Sports will receive a Free Gift and “Lifetime Discount Card” when purchasing items at Victory Sports.  


As part of the daylong event, people will have an opportunity to see the new look, and enjoy some fun, DJ, including Kids Face Painting, a visit from our good friend King Henry with many more surprises to be announced next week.


Victory Sports is proud to announce they have partnered with the New York Jets, on a Veterans Day initiative that will help raise funds for local Veteran organizations on Staten Island. The New York Jets will be on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony and will be raffling off tickets, and signed memorabilia.


“Since our family took over in May, we have been committed to serving Island

Residents, schools, non-profit organizations, youth teams and businesses. 

Our new concept, approach and look to Victory Sports is going to be a major change for everyone to experience” said Victory Sports Owner, Ellena Perone.  “Over the past few months while we had to deal with some major issues and space limitation, we have done our best and been quietly going about our business.  However we are all excited and now is the time for people to see the new look and hear what is in store for the future of Victory Sports and the Group.”


Starting Saturday at 1 PM, the Perone Family and Victory Sports Group invites all Staten Island Residence to be part of this event. Victory Sports has always been “Staten Island’s Home Town Team” and the group will continue to do so.


The First 100 people to enter the store will receive a “FREE” gift courtesy of their partners at Love Handles.

So happy to read this, when our military children of CAMMO KIDS needed shirts for a performance George stepped up. He also helped with other shirts needed for a TV performance all done in time. Pleased to see this business continue to be in the community.
