SI Chamber to Host Effective Communication Workshop with Extended DISC Assessment

Kristin Foye - May 1, 2017
The Staten Island Chamber of Commerce will host an Effective Communication Workshop for business owners and sales professionals. The training will be conducted by David Fischer, Owner and President of Chartwell Seventeen Advisory Group, Inc., an authorized Sandler Training center located in Manhattan, on May 16 at the Staten Island Advance (950 W. Fingerboard Road) from 1pm-5pm.
Fischer will discuss the Extended DISC model of communication and the four types of communication styles all people fall into: Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, Compliance. Extended DISC is an assessment tool used to measure an individual's behavior, to increase self-awareness and to better understand other people. To communicate more effectively, attendees will learn which style to use; how to recognize the styles of others; and to adjust their style towards enhanced communication. This workshop includes a personalized DISC behavioral assessment report and supporting materials.
The cost is $299 for members and $459 for non-members and includes lunch and the Extended DISC assessment report. Register at or “Call the Chamber” at 718-727-1900.
